Hold your first W point on purpose, and do not let mounted W spin out right before a dismount unless the fight is already ending, because a huge amount of Kled’s real threat is whether the remount fight still has teeth
Mounted Q is only a real hit when the rope can stay attached, so stop spending both E casts just to touch someone and start trades from wave states where they cannot simply walk or dash out of the pull
Kled’s good games are unusually concentrated in the midgame rather than in pure early solo-kill snowballing, so the champion is strongest when his mounted burst plus remount chaos are forcing rushed fights before 30 minutes, not when the game slows into long settled combats
Ult when the path makes the enemy solve you late, not early. The clean Kled ult is usually from side fog, from a nearby side lane, or after the fight has already started to bend so they cannot calmly spread, kite, and dump everything into your first health bar. If top lane has stopped offering a clean kill, that is often your cue to look for an ult that changes mid, river, Herald, or dragon instead. The bad ults are the long, obvious ones through vision where everyone sees the line, backs up, and turns your engage into a dismount with no remount room.
Kled rides his trusty steed, Skaarl, who takes damage for him. When Skaarl's health depletes, Kled dismounts. While dismounted, Kled's abilities change and he deals less damage to champions. Kled can restore Skaarl's courage by fighting enemies. At maximum courage, Kled remounts with a portion of Skaarl's health.
Kled throws a bear trap that damages and hooks an enemy champion. If shackled for a short duration, the target takes additional physical damage and is yanked toward Kled. When dismounted, this ability is replaced by Pocket Pistol, a ranged gun blast that knocks back Kled and restores courage.
Kled gains massive attack speed for four attacks. The fourth attack deals more damage.
Kled dashes, dealing physical damage and gaining a short burst of speed. Kled can cast this ability again to dash back through his initial target, dealing the same damage.
Kled and Skaarl charge to a location, leaving a speed-granting trail behind them and gaining a shield. Skaarl locks onto and rams the first enemy champion encountered.
